Laila's Here!!

Well, Laila is here! She arrived on 7/23 at 10:08 am. She waited to make sure her Mommy had her own birthday! We came home on Friday 7/25 and has been doing wonderful! Steve and I are very happy and enjoying our time together.

Two Birthdays In One Week!?

Well, this week will, from now on, be a busy week for Steven! Both his girls have birthdays in the same week! My birthday is tomorrow and we have Laila all set up for her birthday on Friday!
Of course, she can come anytime before that and we would love to see her :)

I am 40 weeks and 3 days pregnant today! I am feeling well aside from some hip and very low back pain. But that is to be expected at this point I think! I have just been sleeping whenever I feel the need and really trying to stay off my feet as it seems to aggravate my back pain.

We had our appointment today with the midwife and baby is looking great (as usual!). She said I am ALL ready to go we are just waiting on this little girl to make her move. She has until Friday July 25th to do that because at 7:30 am we will go into Woodwinds Hospital to start our induction.

While I am very excited about meeting Laila, the idea of an induction does make me a little nervous! But I just keep telling myself what I KNOW Bebe would say....It doesn't matter how she gets here...just that she gets here. Right?! :)

Thursday we will go in for our ultrasound at 8:15 am and then we will try to sleep as much as we can Thursday night! I am sure the excitement will be a lot to handle and we won't sleep much! Steve and I will update as the week goes on if anything happens and for sure when we get into the hospital!

The End Is Near

We had our 40 week appointment yesterday (although we arent 40 weeks until tomorrow 7/18). We are due on 7/19 which is only 38 hours away! My gut is telling me Saturday will come and go and no baby will arrive.

So we have another appointment set up for Monday to do a Non-Stress Test to make sure she is doing well (which she will be). It test her heart rate and movement. After the test is done we will schedule a Bio-Physical Ultrasound which is just a more in depth ultrasound. It will test her breathing and blood flow, all that good stuff.

Once we have THAT done we will go into the hospital either that same day or the next day to start an induction. Now, remember at ANY point if Laila decides to come on her own we just proceed as normal. But if not! We will have a baby by next weekend. Thank GOD! And end is in sight!

Steve and I are holding up pretty well. It helps to know that there is a baby on the other end of this week. :) We will update if something happens before Monday!

Still Waiting...

Steve and I decided to start this up so that our families can check in on us whenever they want! Since we have family all the way from California to Texas to Vegas to DC and lots of stops along the way..we thought it would be nice for everyone!

Today I am 39 weeks and 2 days pregnant. Only 5 days left until our due date and we are just trying to stay busy. We appreciate everyone who is concerned and curious but we ask that you don't call or text to ask "how are you....". We know what you are up to :) and we will definitely let everyone know as soon as something happens.

We are very excited for little Laila to come and for Steve's parents to head into town. We miss them very much and are blessed that they are able to make the trip on Laila's whim. :) She already has them wrapped around her little finger.

My parents are up at the lake all week which is 3 hours away and will be able to come down whenever we need them. My dad says my mom has to stop buying things for her until he sees her ten fingers and ten toes. Don't worry, that hasn't stopped her. :)

So now we just wait...just like everyone else... :) Keep checking back and I will post updates for you curious people. Don't be offended if we don't answer your calls or texts, we are trying to enjoy our last days alone together :) Until then....business as usual. Steve will play tennis and watch baseball....I will read and try to get things straightened up around here!
